EARLIER WORK

between Surrealism and Dreamcore

In her older works, India Aparicio combined a variety of motifs, including eyeballs, metaballs, and chessboard patterns. She often created images that depict a landscape with a chessboard pattern as the foundation. Through clever distortions and shading, they give the impression of spatiality, while geometric shapes and eyes enliven the scene. Additionally, recurring gates leading into a dark space streaked with stars are found.

India Aparicio’s artworks are characterized by a striking vitality that captivates the viewer. Beyond aesthetic aspects, her works also contain a narrative component that challenges the viewer’s perception and stimulates the imagination. She skillfully combines technique with emotional expressiveness, thus creating abstract worlds that exert a fascinating attraction.
